Halloween is fast approaching, and there are plenty of great ways to get in the Halloween spirit in Memphis. Whether you’re looking for excitement or a relaxed family-friendly event, Halloween in Memphis has it all. Here are our suggestions for some events to check out:
Zoo Boo at the Memphis Zoo | October 20-22, 27-31
Celebrate Halloween with the animals! For 8 special nights in October, the Memphis Zoo hosts Zoo Boo, its spectacular annual Halloween event. In additional to all your favourite furry, scaly, and feathered friends, there will also be candy stations, straw mazes, a costume contest and much more! This is a family friendly event where children can enjoy craft stations, trick or treating, and magic shows. Adults will have plenty of fun as well with fortune tellers, camel rides, and a chance to see some of the creepiest critters in the zoo. Advance tickets are just $13 or $15 at the door.
Flick or Treat at the Botanic Garden | October 28
A great event for families and adults alike! The Botanic Garden in Memphis will have local community vendors and partners handing out goodies to trick or treaters before everyone settles in for some not-so-spooky outdoor movies. Snuggle up in a blanket for
It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown
followed by
Monsters, Inc.
You are welcome to bring a picnic along, or purchase popcorn, drinks, and movie night treats at the event.
Day of the Dead Fiesta | October 28
The Day of the Dead Fiesta is a vibrant celebration of life and Latino culture and tradition. This adults-only celebration includes performances by Ballet Memphis, the Memphis Symphony Orchestra, Aztec Dancers, Mariachi Guadalajara, hula hoop performances and lots of live music. The dress code is black and white – no Halloween costumes at this event, please! General Admission starts at $50 in advance, and includes entrance to the festival and small appetizers. For an additional $20, you can purchase a bar pass, which gives you access to an exclusive pass-holders bar with a selection of boozy agua fresca, beer, or wine. The celebration takes place at The Cadre, just a 25 minute drive away from Best Western Galleria Inn & Suites.
We know that between elaborate costumes, tickets to events, and food and drink, Halloween isn’t always cheap! That’s why
taking advantage of our affordable room rates at Best Western Galleria Inn & Suites
is a great way to ensure that you can make the most of your Halloween experience in Memphis. We can’t wait to celebrate this spook-tacular holiday!
