Memphis is a mecca for music lovers and one of the newest chapters in the city’s rich musical is the Mempho Music Festival. Running on October 6 and 7 at Shelby Farms Park, and with a mission to pay tribute to Memphis’ heritage as well as its worldwide contribution to music culture, the second annual edition of this music festival promises not to disappoint.
 
Firstly, there will be multiple live music stages. Some of the impressive headlining artists on those stages at the festival this year include Beck, Nas, Post Malone, Janelle Monae, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic, and Mac DeMarco. There will also be art installations and an interactive dome that combines music, art, science, and design for a truly unique experience.
 
Along with honouring Memphis’ music culture, the Mempho Music Festival also tips its hat to the city’s vibrant culinary scene. They’ll be offering a wide variety of food options in order to represent the many different flavours of the South. You’ll find offerings like Corky’s Ribs & BBQ, Smurfrey Smokehouse, Fresh Gulf Shrimp, and Miss Birdsong’s Sweet Tooth.
